A method for screening an anti-breast cancer metastasis compound by using a tumor metastasis gene profile comprises randomly selecting at least one gene from the following 18 genes: MMP1, FSCN1, PTGS2, EREG, ANGPTL4, VCAM1, CXCR4, CXCL1, RARRES3, ID1, TNC, LY6E, LTBP1, C10orf116, KRTHB1, KYNU, MAN1A1, and NEDD9; and then designing a probe to select a compound that causes the expression levels of these metastasis genes in metastasized breast cancer cells to transition to those in cancer cells in situ or normal cells. Twenty compounds were selected using the method, and cytotoxicity and animal-level experiments demonstrated that these compounds or combinations thereof all exhibited activity against breast cancer metastasis at different degrees.
