The invention relates to a signal processing device for the highly precise measurement of the delay time of two signals. The aim of the invention is to provide a signal processing device and a measuring device for the highly precise measurement of the delay time of two signals, enabling a higher temporal resolution while maintaining the simple and economical implementation possibility of simple logic elements. The signal processing device (500) according to the invention comprises a signal-comparing element (100) with a first signal input (1) for a first input signal (S1), a second signal input (2) for a second input signal (S2), a signal output (33) for an output signal (Q3) and a signal memory (200) designed to store an input signal (Q3) and to provide it as an output signal (Q5) on the signal output (5), where the signal-comparing element (100) has a first signal pulse producer (300), a second signal pulse producer (400) and a logic gate (30), and where the signal pulse producer (300, 400) is designed to generate a signal pulse (P1, P2) according to a signal transition of one of the input signals (S1, S2), where the first signal input (31) of the logic gate (30) is connected to a signal output (13) of the first signal pulse producer (300) and the second signal input (32) of the logic gate (30) is connected to a signal output (23) of the second signal pulse producer (400).
