The present invention relates to a smartphone-connected multimeter having a measurement target automatic recognition function and to a measuring system and measuring method using same, the multimeter being configured such that a user can easily measure the electrical characteristics of a measurement target, the user wishes to measure, without proceeding with input procedures (such as the selections of measuring details, the measurement target, and the like) in advance in order to measure the measurement target, that a nonprofessional in a related technical field can also easily measure various kinds of measurement targets, and that being easy to carry and store, the multimeter has improved storage and utilization properties, the present invention comprising: a housing; a pair of leads comprising at the ends thereof probes, which come into contact with a measurement target, and being configured to be drawn from the housing; a range module, installed on the housing, for rectifying and transforming electrical signals received by the leads; a voltage module for generating electric power of a designated voltage and applying an electric current to the measurement target; and a process module which communicates with the program module of a smartphone so as to receive indication data, converts the electrical signals processed by the range module to corresponding digital signals, which are set to match the electrical characteristics thereof according to the settings of the indication data, and analyzes same so as to generate analysis data, controls the electric current application of the voltage module if the electrical signals are not received from the measurement target, and is installed on the housing.
