Disclosed in the present invention is a message delay measurement and correction method based on a bidirectional HSR ring network. The method comprises the following steps: a source node simultaneously sending the same Ethernet message to destination receiving nodes in two directions of a bidirectional HSR ring network; calculating the residence time of the message at each of the nodes by recording time marks of the Ethernet message entering and exiting from the node; calculating a path delay between the nodes; adding up the calculated residence time of the Ethernet message at the node and the calculated path delay between the nodes into a delay correction domain of the Ethernet message to obtain a final delay correction domain field, thereby realizing correction of a transmission delay of the Ethernet message; and the destination receiving nodes selecting a message that is the first to arrive at the directions, and taking the final delay correction domain field in the message as a final delay of the message. The present invention ensures recovery of zero delay in the case of a network failure, no frame loss in the case of a failure, and high network reliability, and can correct a delay correction domain field in a message.
