This indoor unit of heat pump utilization equipment constitutes a portion of the heat pump utilization equipment that comprises: a refrigerant circuit which circulates a refrigerant; a heating medium circuit which allows a heating medium to flow therethrough; and a heat exchanger which performs heat exchange between the refrigerant and the heating medium. This indoor unit of heat pump utilization equipment houses a portion of the heating medium circuit and is connected to an outdoor unit which houses the refrigerant circuit and the heat exchanger. This indoor unit of heat pump utilization equipment has a pressure protection device that is connected to the heating medium circuit, and an opening and closing device that is interposed between the heating medium circuit and the pressure protection device.
