The invention relates to a system for managing e-mails (M) including a signature (SG) designating an image (I) comprising one or more clickable areas (ZI1, ZI2). In order to make such a signature accessible by any electronic messaging client (MUA), a signature server (LSI) is configured to implement a method (200) for generating fragments (FI) of said image (I), in response to receiving fragmented requests (RF) transmitted by one such messaging client while a set of program instructions (SCP) are interpreted that describe said signature (SG) in the form of an association of adjacent containers provided to accommodate said image fragments (FI), even, for some of them, a hyperlink. The invention further relates to a method for assisting the generation (100) of such an interoperable signature (SG).
