By using a change in the air distribution inside the lung based on an anatomical location in a chest image obtained from impedance data measured by electrodes attached to the surface of the chest of the newborn baby, the probability of a false alarm can be lowered and, by interpreting the change together with a sensed bio-signal, the symptom of apnea of the newborn baby can be more accurately diagnosed and warned.
