The heating cooker (100) is also provided with: a chamber internal state analyzing part (204) for analyzing the chamber internal state inside the heating chamber; an image comparing and determining part (206) which, on the basis of the chamber internal state, compares the image captured by the imaging part (203) with the reference image stored in the image storing part (205), and then determines the placement state, inside the heating chamber, of the object to be heated; and a control part (202) that controls, on the basis of the placement state, the heating carried out by the heating part (201).
