An aerial image capturing method and system for an unmanned aerial vehicle to survey a traffic accident scene, the method comprising: on the basis of whether 3D scene reconstruction or animated scene simulation is required, selecting a corresponding traffic accident scene unmanned aerial vehicle low altitude photography scheme, the traffic accident scene unmanned aerial vehicle low altitude photography schemes comprising but not being limited to a global scope zigzag roaming overhead view photography solution and a combination photography scheme, the combination photography scheme comprising superposing the global scope zigzag roaming overhead view photography scheme and a local 3D scene multi-level surround tilt photography scheme; on the basis of the selected unmanned aerial vehicle low altitude photography scheme, selecting and calculating the camera parameters of the unmanned aerial vehicle; and, on the basis of the selected unmanned aerial vehicle low altitude photography scheme and the camera parameters of the unmanned aerial vehicle, performing traffic accident scene photography to obtain an aerial image sequence of the traffic accident scene. The present invention has the advantages of being comprehensive and having good manoeuvrability, high efficiency, and high precision, and can be widely used in the field of unmanned aerial vehicle applications.
