Provided are an SRTP key indication method and device, which are related to the technical field of communications, and which solve the problem in the prior art of a key easily being leaked, resulting in RTP data easily being leaked. The method comprises: receiving a first key indication message, wherein the first key indication message comprises first key encryption information, the first key encryption information comprises ciphertext of a first key, a first encryption algorithm and a first encryption parameter, the first encryption algorithm is an algorithm used when encrypting the first key, and the first encryption parameter is a parameter used when encrypting the first key; and according to a pre-set key, the first encryption algorithm and the first encryption parameter, decrypting the ciphertext of the first key to obtain the first key, wherein the first key is used for decrypting a secure real-time transport protocol (SRTP) packet.
