The present invention provides a system and method for assisting a doctor in prescribing on the basis of an identification code. The method comprises: receiving prescription information entered by a doctor from a communication terminal device, obtaining a device identification code corresponding to the communication terminal device, and obtaining a doctor identification code corresponding to the doctor from the prescription information; searching a first server for electronic prescriptions that contain the doctor identification code and are related to the prescription information, to obtain a list of related prescriptions with the device identification code; querying and recording inventory information of all drugs in the electronic prescriptions in the list of related prescriptions with the device identification code in a second server, to obtain a list of prescriptions to be sent with the device identification code; sending the list of prescriptions to be sent with the device identification code to the communication terminal device corresponding to the device identification code; and receiving the prescription finally determined by the doctor from the communication terminal device corresponding to the device identification code. By implementing the present invention, a doctor can make a prescription efficiently and the inventory of all drugs in the prescription is sufficient, so that the diagnosis efficiency is improved.
