The present invention relates to a personal prayer mat that moves and rotates automatically and is used to determine the Muslim prayer direction (qibla) autonomously. This is done by attaching a small device to the centre of the prayer mat at the top thereof. The mat automatically moves in the direction of the qibla by means of pre-programmed GPS coordinates and magnetism. The device comprises small wheels for pulling or dragging the mat 360° in a circular manner and is operated by a rechargeable battery and an ordinary non-rechargeable battery. The device also comprises a sound outlet and a light indicator for transmitting instructions and notifications. The raw material of the mat is made from lightweight materials such as sponge, plastic and lightweight textiles, such that the entire mat can respond to rotation in a stable manner, without becoming twisted or folded as happens with the textiles of traditional mats. The mat also comprises embroidery or a particular protrusion at the bottom that allows a blind person to feel the mat with his or her feet in order to know the ideal place to stand on same, and has a remote control for activating and deactivating the mat and for searching for the mat in a house or in any place so as to locate same (for blind people). The remote control also makes a sound when the user walks in the correct direction towards the mat, the sound in said device becoming faster as he or she gets closer to the mat. In addition, there is a special application for smart devices which allows the mat to be controlled and instructions and notifications to be received, and when a child's name is entered, the mat interacts with the child, calling him or her by name to perform the prayer, encouraging the child to pray and thanking him or her when the prayer is performed.
