An artificial wetland system for advanced treatment of tail water from a sewage treatment plant, comprising an ecological pool system for preprocessing sewage, wherein the ecological pool system comprises a water distribution channel (1), an ecological pool (2) and a water collecting channel (8); a microbial carrier filler mounting bracket (3) is arranged in the ecological pool (2), and a microbial carrier filler (4) is fixedly mounted on the microbial carrier filler mounting bracket (3); a plant floating bed (6) is arranged on the water surface of the ecological pool (2), and a hydrophyte I (7) is planted in the plant floating bed (6); a water outlet end of the water distribution channel (1) is connected to a water inlet end of the ecological pool (2), and a water outlet end of the ecological pool (2) is connected to a water inlet end of the water collecting channel (8); and a water outlet end of the water collecting channel (8) is connected to a water inlet end of an upper layer perforated water distribution pipe (15) in an artificial wetland system (9).
