A cutting insert according to one aspect is provided with: a first surface having a first side, a first edge, a second edge, and a breaker part; and a second surface. The breaker part has a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion. The first portion is an inclined surface which is inclined to become closer to the second surface with distance from the first side, and the third portion is an inclined surface which is inclined to become further away from the second surface with distance from the second portion. When the first surface is viewed from the front, the maximum distance, along an orthogonal line to the first side, from the first side to the top of the third portion is greater at the second edge than at the first edge.
