MAINTENANCE CULTURE OF INTESTINAL STEM CELLS DERIVED FROM INDUCED PLURIPOTENT STEM CELLS

The present invention addresses the problem of providing a culture method with which it is possible to maintain and culture intestinal stem cells derived from induced pluripotent stem cells while maintaining the properties of the intestinal stem cells. Intestinal stem cells derived from induced pluripotent stem cells are cultured in the presence of a GSK-3β inhibitor, a histone deacetylation inhibitor, and a serum substitute, or in the presence of a GSK-3β inhibitor and a serum substitute. Preferably, the cells are cultured under conditions such that one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of epidermal growth factors, TGFβ receptor inhibitors, and fibroblast growth factors are also present.
