[Solution] A method for manufacturing a color coated plate glass which includes a plate glass and a color coating formed on at least one side of the plate glass, the method including a step of mixing(a) a reaction product obtained by reacting a silane compound having an amino group with at least one boron compound selected from the group consisting of H3BO3 and B2O3,(b) a metal alkoxide and/or a condensate of the metal alkoxide,(c) a synthetic resin,(d) a triazine ultraviolet light absorber,(e) a solvent comprising a nonaqueous solvent having an SP value of substantially 8 to 11.5 (cal/cm3)1/2, and(f) a pigment,to obtain an application liquid for forming a color coating, wherein the amount of the ultraviolet light absorber relative to the total solid is 5 to 12 mass% and the amount of the pigment is 0.02 to 0.50 times the amount of the ultraviolet light absorber in mass ratio.
