The production method of the high-purity calcium carbonate porous sintered body is characterized by involving a step for preparing a dispersion liquid containing calcium carbonate that has a purity of at least 99.7 mass%, a step for producing a foam by adding a foaming agent to the dispersion liquid and then agitating the dispersion liquid to a foam, and a step for producing a calcium carbonate porous sintered body by sintering the foam.
