A Chinese traditional medicine syndrome element differentiation method and device. The method comprises: receiving symptom information to be categorized (S101); categorizing the symptom information by a first number of trained symptom categorizers to acquire a first number of categorization results, so as to perform a preliminary prediction on whether the symptom information belongs to syndrome elements in predetermined syndrome element information (S102); performing, according to the first number of categorization results and a predetermined confidence threshold, a secondary prediction of whether the symptom information belongs to the syndrome elements in the syndrome element information, and determining, according to a result of the secondary prediction, all syndrome elements to which the symptom information belongs (S103); performing synthesis and outputting, on the basis of all of the syndrome elements of the symptom information, a syndrome name corresponding to the symptom information (S104), thereby effectively enhancing the high-dimensional data processing capability and generalization capability of syndrome element differentiation and correlation between syndrome elements. Furthermore, feature selection is not needed in a syndrome element differentiation process, thus effectively enhancing syndrome element differentiation efficiency and differentiation effectiveness.
