A container (1) for consumable liquids incorporating a receptacle (2) that is water-tightly fitted in an upside-down orientation within the container (1), after having being filled with a non-consumable material having a predetermined relatively low or relatively high temperature, thereby enabling heat exchange with the consumable liquid contained in a chamber (3) of the container (1) and providing a pleasurable consumption or maintenance thereof at a desired temperature. The receptacle (2) is provided with or is adapted to receive a peripheral edge member (6) around an open mouth (9) thereof that abuts the side walls (5) proximally to the bottom of the container (1) and provides the water-tight fitting of receptacle (2) within the container (1) averting leakage and dilution of the non- consumable material of the receptacle in the consumable liquid of the container.
