Provided is a system for calculating the ranking and the rating of member profiles in an Internet-based social network service. A system for calculating the ranking and the rating of member profiles, in one embodiment, comprises: a communication unit, which is configured to be capable of communicating with terminals of a plurality of members of the social network service, and receives, from the terminals of the plurality of members, profiles including at least one measurement item indicating characteristics of each of the plurality of members, and interaction information, of the plurality of members, for the profiles; a first storage unit for storing the profiles and the interaction information received through the communication unit; a second storage unit for storing preset measurement criteria for the interaction, and rule information including profile rating classification information; and a processor configured to extract, from the plurality of member profiles stored in the first storage unit, a plurality of member profiles including the measurement item selected according to a user input, and the interaction information on the plurality of member profiles, received through the communication unit, and apply the measurement criteria for the interaction and the rule information to the extracted interaction information so as to calculate ranking and rating of the plurality of member profiles.
