Disclosed in an embodiment of the present invention is a method for paying for a nursing fee capable of solving a problem in the prior art in which filing a nursing claim is complicated and inconvenient. The method provided in the embodiment of the present invention comprises: determining a target nursing case to be automatically paid, the target nursing case being a claim case relating to a valid nursing insurance policy covering nursing, and for which an initial nursing fee payment has been made; if a current system time reaches a time at which an automatic payment is to be made for the target nursing case, automatically filing a claim for the target nursing case; performing a review on the target nursing case according to a preset review rule; if the review validates the target nursing case, updating, with the nursing insurance policy, a next time at which an automatic payment is to be made for the target nursing case; and performing, by means of a financial system of an insurance company, payment processing with respect to a nursing fee of the target nursing case. Also provided in the embodiment of the present invention is a device for paying for a nursing fee.
