SHULDER-SURFING RESISTANT GRAPHICAL AUTHENTICATION METHOD AND SYSTEM USING TRANSPARENT MOVING SCHEME OF GRID AND IMAGE

Disclosed are a shoulder-surfing resistant graphical authentication method using a transparent moving scheme of a grid and an image and a system thereof, capable of processing security authentication with safety from shoulder surfing. According to the present invention, the method comprises the steps of: creating a lattice window in which images (including numbers and characters) are randomly disposed and displayed and a symbol indication, such as a number, a character, etc., capable of appointing a position of a lattice is laterally displayed on the top and longitudinally displayed on the left or right side; suggesting a screen allowing a user to input a password; selecting a predetermined position of the lattice and a few images displayed on the suggested screen to register the selected lattice and images as the password; moving a designated image to a designated position with direction keys, a touchpad, a mouse, a touch pen, a part of a body, and the like without directly touching the designated image randomly disposed and displayed with other images in the lattice shown on an input surface upon authentication; and recording the final position information of the moved image to compare the recorded moved position information with the position information of the image (i.e., the password) at authentication.
