The purpose of the present invention is to repel Zika virus using a phytoncide liquid or oil extracted from Chamaecyparis obtusa. A preparation method of a mosquito insect repellent of the present invention comprises the steps of: processing an essential oil of Chamaecyparis obtusa extracted from Chamaecyparis obtusa by a steam distillation method; and preparing the mosquito insect repellent comprising phytoncide components called as tetraphenes using the processed essential oil of Chamaecyparis obtusa, wherein the steam distillation method is a method which does not change aromatic components by heat of steam since most of the essential oil of Chamaecyparis obtusa is not dissolved into water.
