Disclosed are a geothermal heating and cooling device using a single thermal storage tank to perform heating and cooling at the same time and a control method thereof. The present invention relates to the geothermal heating and cooling device using a single thermal storage tank to perform heating and cooling at the same time and the control method thereof, wherein the device comprises a geothermal unit (100), a primary heating and cooling unit (200), and a secondary heating and cooling unit (300). According to the present invention, without an additional auxiliary thermal storage tank, temporary heating in the rainy season in summer and temporary cooling in winter can be performed to reduce additional installation costs and operation costs.
