A financial device according to the present invention includes: a media processing device which processes media; a discrimination unit which is included in the media processing device and discriminates the media; a media storage unit which is included in the media processing device and stores the media discriminated in the discrimination unit; a coupling device which is included in at least one part of the front side of the media processing device and is coupled with the external expansion module which is a separate external device which supplements or recollects the media; and a path conversion unit which switches between a mode that the medium are transferred to the discrimination unit and a mode that the medium are transferred to the external expansion module, on the transfer path of the coupling device. According to the present invention, the media can be supplemented and recollected safely without opening a vault. The present invention can supplement or recollect media quickly, enables a method for supplementing or recollecting the media to be more convenient, and improves service quality provided for customers.
