NEW PLANT VARIETY OF BRASSICA RAPA L. SSP. PEKINENSIS, HONGALBAEGI, AND BREEDING METHODS THEREOF

A new plant variety of Brassica rapa L. ssp. pekinensis, Hongalbaegi, of the present invention is obtained by the following steps: obtaining plants of various reddish individuals from Brassica rapa L. ssp. pekinensis and Brassica rapa L. ssp chinensis, Hongkyunchae, through intermediate hybrid; and selecting the lineage and individuals from the intermediate hybrid. The new plant variety of Brassica rapa L. ssp. pekinensis, Hongalbaegi is reddish and is suitable for wrapping, green vegetable juices, salads or kimchi. A plant of the superior lineage is provided into a novel plant variety of Brassica rapa L. ssp. pekinensis, Hongalbaegi, and seeds thereof through lineage purification, self-incompatibility certification, seed production ability certification and regional adaptation tests.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
