The present invention relates to a humic acid-impregnated activated carbon and to a manufacturing method thereof. By using the humic acid-impregnated activated carbon as an activated carbon for adsorbing mercury of the present invention through a method for mixing a humic acid, obtained by dissolving humic acid into an alkaline solution, with the activated carbon, excellent humic acid impregnation ratio is realized to increase the amount of mercury adsorption. The activated carbon for adsorbing mercury of the present invention can also ensure economical feasibility in addition to an excellent mercury adsorption amount by attaching the humic acid widely present in nature to the activated carbon. The present invention also can provide the activated carbon for adsorbing mercury, which optimizes the solubility of the humic acid in a humic acid solution, and has very excellent mercury adsorption rate through a process of increasing the specific surface area of the activated carbon.
