An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device comprises: at least one processor; and an eUICC which is connected to the at least one processor. The processor embodies a management module for managing profiles stored in the eUICC. The management module performs, when there is an activated profile in the eUICC, a communication function on the basis of the activated profile, and inactivates, when there is no activated profile in the eUICC, at least one of a periodical eUICC confirmation function and a network search function.
