- CODING INDEPENDENT FRAMES OF AMBIENT HIGHER-ORDER AMBISONIC COEFFICIENTS

In general, techniques for coding surrounding high order ambience coefficients are described. An audio decoding device including a memory and a processor may perform these techniques. The memory may store the first frame of the bitstream and the second frame of the bitstream. The processor may obtain one or more bits from the first frame indicating whether the first frame is an independent frame that contains additional reference information that allows the first frame to be decoded without reference to the second frame. The processor may further obtain prediction information for the first channel side information information data of the transmission channel in response to indicating that the one or more bits are not the first frame. The prediction information may be used to decode the first channel count information data of the transport channel with reference to the second channel count information data of the transport channel.
