The present invention relates to deep sea water having excellent hair growth promoting properties and a method for promoting hair growth using the same and, more specifically, to deep sea water having excellent hair growth promoting properties by desalinating deep sea water taken at a depth of 510 m from the sea surface of 7,000 m in front of Oeongchi, Sokcho-si, Gangwon-do, Republic of Korea and applying the deep sea water to hairs, and to a method for promoting hair growth using the same. The deep sea water having excellent hair growth promoting properties promotes hair growth of hairs in a growth period, thereby having hair growth promoting efficacy and no side effects.
