Provided are a method and a system to produce virtual reality media. The virtual reality media producing method provided by the present invention includes: a step of shooting a video by combining a camera with an inertial measurement unit (IMU) attached to a Raspberry Pi; a step of recording a real-time log about motion data by controlling a speed per frame from the shot video after receiving a message about a motion data recording command request from a client terminal through the Raspberry Pi; a step of generating a data set by parsing and processing values of linear velocity, angular velocity, and direction of the motion data recorded with real-time log after finishing the video shooting; and a step of mapping the generated data set with a parameter for a simulator through a middleware engine to associate the data set with the simulator. The present invention can relieve dizziness of cognitive dissonance.
