METHOD OF MANUFACTURING TYMPANOSTOMY STENT FOR REMEDYING OTITIS MEDIA

The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a tympanostomy stent which can be inserted into a cut part of the eardrum for treating otitis media. The method includes: a tympanostomy stent body manufacturing step of manufacturing a tympanostomy stent body which includes a passage in a tube shape to let fluids flow through and multiple holes formed on the surface; and a tympanostomy stent body coating step of coating the surface of the tympanostomy stent body with a bio-friendly substance. The tympanostomy stent body coating step includes a step of forming a titanium coating layer on the surface of the tympanostomy stent body and a step of forming a titanium dioxide coating layer on the upper surface of the titanium coating layer. According to the present invention, since the surface of the tympanostomy stent body is not closed but has multiple holes on the surface, the attachment of foreign substances is suppressed, and thus, thereby limiting the risk of the proliferation of bacterial films, and especially, the surface of the tympanostomy stent body is coated with the coating layer including titanium dioxide to reduce the probability of side effects when a tympanostomy stent is inserted into the eardrum.
