METHOD FOR REMOVING CESIUM IN CRAY MINERAL USING CATIONIC ORAGNIC INTERCALATING AGENT

The present invention relates to a method for removing cesium in clay mineral which comprises the following steps: (a) inserting a positive ionic organic intercalating agent between layers of cesium-contaminated clay mineral; (b) adding an ion exchanger capable of ion exchange with the cesium; and (c) separating the cesium. The insertion of the positive ionic organic intercalating agent and the addition of the ion exchanger can further improve the cesium removal rate.
