The present invention relates to a single-phase trans-Z-source AC-AC converter which comprises: an input voltage source; a first inductor connecting one end of the input voltage source and a second switch; a second inductor connecting the second switch and a third inductor; the third inductor connecting the second inductor and a second capacitor; the second capacitor connecting the third inductor and the other end of the input voltage source; resistances connected in parallel with both ends of the second capacitor; the second switch connecting the first inductor and the second inductor; the first capacitor connecting one end of the second inductor toward the second switch and the other end of the input voltage source; and the first switch connecting the other end of the second inductor and the other end of the input voltage source, wherein the first inductor and the second inductor are coupled at a turns ratio of N:1 (N is a natural number).
