A COSMETIC COMPOSITION FOR UV PROTECTING ANTIOXIDATING AND WHITENING COMPRISING EXTRACTS OF NOVEL ENDOLICHENIC FUNGI

The present invention relates to a UV blocking, antioxidant and whitening cosmetic composition comprising an extract of novel endolichenic fungi EL000039 isolated from Parmotrema austrosinense or 5-hydroxymellein as an effective component. The composition of the present invention has the effects of enhancing UV blocking activity, antioxidant activity, and whitening activity. Additionally, the extract of novel endolichenic fungi or a compound isolated therefrom, 5-hydroxymellein shows no cytotoxicity and skin side effects, and thus can be safely used in cosmetic compositions.
