2D A Compression Method of Digital Hologram Video using Domain Transforms and 2D Video Compression Technique

The present invention relates to a method of compressing a digital hologram video based on domain conversion and two-dimensional video compression, capable of obtaining an optimal compression condition securing the best compression efficiency and selecting a method satisfying the obtained compression condition. The method includes: a step (a) of generating a partial digital hologram (DH) image; a step (b) of obtaining domain conversion data; a step (c) of generating the domain conversion data into a video sequence; a step (d) of compressing and generating each video sequence according to a set parameter; a step (e) of restoring the partial DH image by restoring the compressed video sequence; and a step (f) of selecting an optimal domain conversion method and a parameter for a two-dimensional video compressor. Through the digital hologram video compressing method, superior performance compared to existing compression technology can be achieved with a video compression rate twice better but equal image quality.
