The present invention relates to an impact type energy harvester using a symmetrical linear sawtooth system. The impact type energy harvester includes: multiple sawtooth units formed to be spaced from each other while having symmetrical cross-sections; an operating unit which is coupled to an end of the sawtooth units and is formed to move the sawtooth units in a linear direction; and a cantilevered beam which is arranged to have an end partially coming in contact with the cantilevered beam, senses a collision with the cantilevered beam, and generates electrical energy. The cantilevered beam includes: a base having a piezoelectric element mounted thereon to generate electrical energy; an extension unit which is extended from the base unit and has a smaller thickness than the base; and a weight unit extended from a first extension unit and having a greater thickness than the extension unit.
