The present invention relates to a tundish for continuous casting and a method of converting a different steel grade using the same. The tundish of the present invention includes: a tundish body provided with molten steel injected through an injection nozzle and supplying the injected molten steel to a mold by an immersion nozzle; a lifting dam provided on the tundish body so as to be able to move up and down; and a weight meter installed in the tundish body for sensing a decrease in the molten steel in the tundish body so as to control the lifting dam to be moved up and down. Accordingly, the present invention is able to suppress the mixing of steel grades when the molten steel is converted and to remarkably reduce a discarded portion of a cast piece, thereby realizing an effect of increasing a yielding percentage.
