The present invention relates to a method for calculating and compensating the uncertainty of a train position in a train control system based on radio communications, comprising the steps of: counting output pulses received by first and second tachometers prepared inside a train car to calculate and compare measurement errors of the first and second tachometers d_(e1)(i) and d_(e2)(i) using the number of pulses, p_1 and p_2, thereby determining an over-reading distance error value and an under-reading distance error value; obtaining a cumulative over-reading distance error, O_e(i) and a cumulative under-reading distance error, U_e(i); and using the same to obtain an over-reading distance error per unit pulse, PO_e and an under-reading distance error per unit pulse, PU_e, to calculate a confidence interval of the train head, DCI_h, and a confidence interval of the train rear, DCI_r.
