The present invention relates to a remote control system of a photovoltaic power plant, and a remote control method thereof. The remote control system of a photovoltaic power plant comprises: slave modems including a plurality of communications channels formed through a DC(+) and DC(-) power lines of each PV module, and an auxiliary line connected to a PV module fixing frame to monitor a power generating state of each PV module in real time by being separately installed in the PV modules for generating electricity by receiving sunlight; a main modem connected to the slave modems installed in the PV modules to collect power generating data received from each of the slave modems, and to transmit the detected data to a main management server through wired and wireless communications; and a channel selection control unit provided in the main modem to select any one channel having an excellent communications state by separately detecting an impedance value between a channel 1 including the DC(+) and DC(-) power lines and a channel 2 including the auxiliary line connected to the PV module fixing frame when data is received from each of the slave modems, and comparing the same with a set reference impedance value.
