A system for assessing a fire risk using a space risk index includes a data input unit, an inherent risk assessment unit, a response level assessment unit, a space risk index calculation unit, and an output unit. The data input unit receives input data for a space, and the inherent risk assessment unit calculates an inherent risk assessment value for assessing an inherent risk to the fire in the space from the input data. The response level assessment unit calculates a response level assessment value for assessing a response level to the fire in the space. The space risk index calculation unit calculates the space risk index for the space by using the inherent risk assessment value and the response level assessment value. The output unit outputs the calculated space risk index by responding to the space. Accordingly, the present invention can easily assess the fire risk with low costs.
