The present invention relates to a composition, a kit, or a method for predicting the risk of developing hyperhomocysteinemia or related diseases thereof on small for date infants or low birth-weight infants after growth, using MTHFD1 and/or BHMT1 found in low-weight offspring of pregnant women who do not eat properly during pregnancy by using animal models.
