Techniques for reporting buffer status in wireless communications

The aspects described herein generally relate to communicating buffer status reports (BSRs) in wireless communications. To communicate from one device to one or more other devices, a BSR indicating the size of each of the plurality of messages stored in the device''s buffer may be generated at the device. The BSR may be transmitted to the base station to request resources for communicating one or more of the plurality of messages to one or more other devices.
