The present invention relates to a signal detection circuit for a short wavelength infrared (SWIR) sensor. More specifically, the present invention relates to a digital signal detection circuit and a controlling method thereof, which independently adjust an integration capacitor and integrate time for each pixel according to a signal size of a sensor of each pixel to find a proper amplification gain, thereby maximizing a dynamic range of a focal plane array (FPA) in the SWIR sensor. The signal detection circuit comprises: a detection element; an integrator; a correlated double sampling (CDS) circuit part; a comparator; a feedback circuit part; and an analogue-digital converter.
