The present invention provides a control device and a control method for applying pulse current for an electric heater, which applies current pulses having a predetermined current value and pulse width to an electric heating part, thereby increasing electric heating efficiency and reducing a power consumption amount. The control device for applying pulse current for an electric heater according to the present invention comprises: a control part applied to the electric heaters including an electric radiator, an electric hot water boiler, and electric steam boiler; and a switch part receiving a control signal from the control part, and supplying or blocking driving power supplied to the electric heating part. The control part applies the signal to the switch part to supply or block the driving power supplied to the electric heating part in accordance with set time, and the switch part is turned on/off according to whether the signal of the control part is applied to supply or block the driving power supplied to the electric heating part, thereby alternately repeating current applying time and non-current applying time.
