According to an embodiment of the present invention, a light water reactor fuel assembly comprises: a plurality of light water reactor fuel rods containing a nuclear fuel material including enriched uranium as a main component, and mutually arranged in parallel; and a plurality of burnable poison containing fuel rods extended in a longitudinal direction, containing burnable poison and a nuclear fuel material including uranium whose enrichment is lower than that of the enriched uranium of the light water reactor fuel rods as a main component, and arranged in a lattice pattern together with the light water reactor fuel rods. Each first enrichment of the enriched uranium is set in such a way that the first enrichment of the enriched uranium at an end of each operation cycle is greater than a predetermined value which can be 0.3% Δk.
