Conventional high pressure lubricant additives contain short chain chlorinated paraffins which are toxic and also harmful to the environment. Environmentally friendly high pressure lubricant additives are provided by combining 74.5 wt% to 84.5 wt% chlorinated alkanes such as PAROIL 310 NR or PAROIL 353 NR with 15.5 wt% to 25.5 wt% mineral oil.
