The present invention relates to a method for removing a subaqueous heavy metal ion using a carbon material with a nitrogen functional group which can effectively remove a subaqueous heavy metal ion through electrostatic attraction between a heavy metal ion and a nitrogen functional group present in a carbon material with nitrogen. According to the present invention, the method for removing subaqueous heavy metal ion using a carbon material with a nitrogen functional group adsorbs the subaqueous heavy metal ion through the electrostatic attraction between the heavy metal ion and the nitrogen functional group for adsorbing the subaqueous heavy metal ion by using the carbon material including the nitrogen functional group. The nitrogen functional group is an assembly of nitrogen (N), carbon (C), hydrogen (H) or an assembly of nitrogen (N) and carbon (C). The carbon (C) and the hydrogen (H) connected to the nitrogen (N) or the carbon (C) has a positive charge larger than that of carbon of the carbon material.
