According to the present invention, provided is a rotary electric machine comprising: an armature module (110) which is fixed and has a plurality of armature windings (120) placed sequentially along a circumferential direction; and a field magnet module (150) which is placed on the inside of a radial direction of the armature windings. The field magnet module comprises: a fixed field magnet winding unit (190); and a rotor unit (160) which rotates with respect to the armature module and the field magnet winding unit. The rotor unit comprises a rotor iron coil part (170) having a through-hole (172) therein and a plurality of permanent magnets (180) coupled to the rotor iron core part. The field magnet winding unit has a field magnet winding part (199) placed on the through-hole (172). The rotary electric machine of the present invention has a field winding therein, thereby adjusting a magnetic flux of a field magnet, unlike existing permanent magnet type rotary electric machine which generates a magnetic flux of a field magnet only by permanent magnets.
