BA15 Live attenuated BA15 mutant strain and vaccine composition for preventing brucellosis comprising the same

The present invention relates to a Brucella abortus mutant strain in which one or more genes selected from the group consisting of cydC, cydD, and purD have been deleted from a Brucella abortus BA15 strain. More specifically, the present invention relates to: a Brucella abortus mutant strain lacking cydC, cydD or purD from a Brucella abortus BA15 strain; a brucellosis vaccine composition containing the mutant strain; and a method for preventing brucellosis including a step of administering the mutant strain to an animal, other than human, requiring the same. The Brucella abortus mutant strain, in which one or more genes selected from the group consisting of cydC, cydD, and purD have been deleted from a Brucella abortus BA15 strain, can be beneficially used as a potential live vaccine candidate for bovine brucellosis.
